Unbelievable what a prices on those websites.
I have send all the copies yesterday to the dutch fans. I am very happy that Fame Recordstore made this all possible.

i guess Island Records didnt expect the single to do so well in terms of sales.. gosh everything got sold out by Monday [ according to George ] ..WwwwoooooWwwwwwwwW ... i m really very happy  
people at Island Records should try to get the Physical Copies to the stores ASAP!! i dont care i want George to be at the top.. have seen many silly songs ruling the charts..not this time again!
this one definately deserves to be a top 5 hit...!!
come on guys lets make sure the single gets sold out like hot cakes once again..! gift your friends and family or your loved ones a copy of December Song

December Song is a good song but unless the record company / artist markets it properly there is no point in releasing singles like this

Island Records will be distributing more Physical Copies by Monday/Tuesday as mentioned by George ..but i doubt whether it would be of any help for next weeek.  if they would have distributed more physical copies [before GM's appearance at XFactor] to the stores then
i' m sure the single would have debuted at #5 at least ...
anyway, lets keep our fingers crossed..and hope for the best to happen in the next week.

There is a post on the OF that lists the actual sales figures for each of the top 20 singles. Rage Against the whatever sold 502,672 and Joe McElderry sold 450,838. By comparison, George sold 22, 243. He could have sold WAY MORE had this single been available in the shops. I know most of us got it on download, and probably bought a physical copy too if they could, like I did! Just goes to show that sadly George is just not a singles artist anymore, which might not bother him, but bothers the hell out of me!  The press judge him on this crap, this won't make all the 'has-been' comments go away. I don't know what happened with the distribution of the single this week, who's fault it was etc. Too late now anyway. I will be surprised if the record climbs next week without some more serious promotion. I haven't heard this on Magic 105.4 at all...although they have no problem playing 'Last Christmas' about 5 or 6 times a day!

the single would have certainly sold more.. George can be a singles artist once again if he is ready to promote & market himself in the right way. we know that he hates that (god knows why.. ) but when you plan to release a single / album then unless you back it up with good promotion/marketing you stand nowhere unfortunately. does not matter who you are ...!! after what he has been through with the arrests/unnecessary media & press hype , had December Song become a top 3 or top 5 single then it would have shut their mouth! i wanted that to happen so bad... but bad distribution of Physical copies in music stores ruined everything unfortunately ... even i agree and know for a fact that George thinks that he is not a singles artist anymore and it does not bother him(or if it does then he will never confess that) but like you i feel very hurt and it bothers the hell out of me as well
U2, Paul McCartney,Elton John.. i beleive almost everyone no matter how big they are does good amount of promotion in order to make sure that their single/album does well commercially. today, people have so many things to do in a limited amount of time and unless you reach out to them in the right manner & market yourself properly...you stand nowhere in terms of sale. George has to realise that, in case he wants to release singles or albums in the future.
His decision to not appear in music videos, do interviews, tours had cost him a lot since his LWP days. He was little sensible with Older.. then did the same thing with Songs From The Last Century..and with Patience i beleive he needed to tour , at least a small tour. that would have done wonders for the album .
I'm a huge GM fan and it hurts me the most when i see my favourite artist is not doing well on the charts, in spite of putting up a good record.
i hope the record company does some good promotion for December Song and even GM takes up an initiative to make sure that this song climbs up the chart next week.

my god i am a fool, i checked the capitals charts yesterday, but in fact these are not the official ones, these are listed on the BBC, sorry for this big mistake.
anyway, 14 is also very disapointing, so the only positive is to see, which really good position he had could reach with a good work of the record company, so nobody - also george too - should not speak longer about not to be a single artists anymore, cause this is totally false.
good quality, and we all know of that more and more is not to see on the charts will have success every time, the song would be very easy a top 5, maybe a top 3 song, i bet everything.
what i dont understand ist if george wants to release a single like he did now, why he dont do that with 100 %, also with a good and big record company, who can deserve all demands, if he do it in this style its really better he will not do that again, cause he damages his name and charts statistic, which he never could buy back with money or so...

hows the single doin now in terms of sale? .. are the physical copies available at major music stores in UK ( including HMV ) ?

been to 2 HMV stores today still no sign of december song, staff have mentioned there have been loads of people asking for it but they have none on shelves
i think george should sack record label and learn from this.....
It would have reached top 5 if enough records for sale in shops

We were told that HMV online will get new singles, but it won't be the Christmas Card EP, just a simple cd single.
That's why the delivery time is 1-2 weeks.
But what is the point of selling a christmas song 2 weeks after christmas ??

| HMV now seems to have the CD for online order but no card and delivery is one to two weeks. That REALLY sucks! Does anyone have a spare copy i can buy off them? |

i think GM should have carried on with Sony.. i mean they promoted Patience & 25 pretty well. .. even Universal Records could have done a better job! yeah even i think this could have been a Top 5 single but bad marketing ruined it!
this should be a big lesson for George if he is at all interested in selling singles or albums in the future.

Exactly my sentiments. There is a limit to taking fans for granted. An 'apology' phone call to Loose Women doesn't change anything. And all this really does is encourage the black marketers, as some of us are finding out. |

Well what a bloody farce this has all turned into!  I feel so sorry for all those who couldn't get a CD copy of this single...looks like I was really lucky to get mine from HMV online. I would suggest someone who has the contact details for Andy Stephens should make him aware of the situation, but I fear it would do no good. The message wouldn't be passed on to George...unless someone else surprises him with an unexpected question on a radio programme!! I think the people around George keep him well cocooned from any problems at Camp George...after all their jobs might be on the line if George ever found out half the stuff that goes on.

My signature picture is a very well done job from my collegues. When I worked there for 15 years I got this photoshopped picture on the cake an a mug !! So I was very well surprised, I also have one where george wears my glasses !
I must admit, they look good on him !
