Although he plays on his Mr Nasty image, it seems deep down Simon Cowell is a big-hearted guy.
The music mogul is organising a charity single for victims of the Haiti earthquake.
The idea apparently came from Prime Minister Gordon Brown, who contacted Simon and asked him to mastermind the Live Aid-style record.
"We are going to do a single. I've got to get it together in 48 hours. I wanted to do something for Haiti and we had a request from the Prime Minister to put a record together," Simon revealed at Wednesday's TV awards.
"We're going to attempt to do something in a very short space of time. And Cheryl has said she's on board."
The 50-year-old is expected to call on artisits who appeared on the X Factor recently, including Sir Paul McCartney, George Michael and Robbie Williams.

I have a feeling George might shy away from this. He'll probably claim that he's too busy with rehearsals for Australia...the real reason would probably be that he doesn't want to be part of the inevitable press circus this would become!
Good luck to them though, I hope they raise millions, etc! _________________ Love That Smile! |

| Will not respect any excuses from George – maybe he donates money or something - but of course he should also use his famous name and sing his heart out for poor people of Haiti on the charity single!! |
